Taking A Vacation

How do financial poor people take a vacation? They don’t go out to eat or stay overnight even in a campground, let alone a hotel! Some don’t even go travel to a public pool or park, so what do they do instead? Check out the view looking down from the bedroom window and see! You’ll also see that the picture was taken through a screen in the window. The other pictures are without the screen there. That little green friend of mine down on the left serves me well, when cooked into a snack before bed to put an end to insomnia! Barely noticeable, also on the left, is a lounge chair for reading. Under that tarp is a pile of rocks that were supposed to go on the house’s foundation, but since they don’t match what was in the showroom, they are not suited for being on the outside of the house. It’s possible they could go on the chimney indoors, but that would then depend on someone fixing that area before the stones can be laid on the chimney blocks.

Snakes live inside that pile of stones, and maybe some chipmunks too. There are some in the ground against the side of the house. There also are honey bees buzzing around the clover, which makes it tricky to avoid getting stung on the bottom of a bare foot. However, when a stinger does get stinging, after scraping it out and applying Baker’s Venom Cleanser to the wound, immediately the destructive consequence of the venom are neutralized!

Another chair appears in the shot above. That grey tarp is tied to two ladders. It’s put there to act as a privacy fence, so the neighbors at the end of the driveway stop watching the Mrs. sunbathing in her pool!

This pool gets the derrière wet and then some! It’s ideal for tanning in, because it keeps the body cool while the feet and head can hang over the sides of the pool. Plus, the body can rotate like the hands on a clock to stay in line with the sun’s traveling across the sky! This spot is such a blessing, because none of the neighbors can observe someone sunning themselves. There’s also an outdoor electric outlet on this outside corner of the house, along with a garden hose that has both hot and cold water!

The water pressure with the hose is way stronger than what’s in the shower inside the house, so taking a shower outside in the sunshine is a nice treat during the summer months! It feels good to air dry in the breeze and sunlight! It must be very healthy also, because of how relaxing it is. What makes it perfect is how private it is. No one can drive into the long driveway, because at the end of it is a gate that remains locked.

It’s easy to duck inside the basement doors, if needed, to enter into the house, instead of walking around to the front, where the only door exists for the first floor. The ladders provide plenty of shelf area for things like the soap, shampoo, a towel, a book, reading glasses, drinking water, a sieve (for scooping out dead bugs and leaves from the water), a fly swatter, and a straw hat. 2024 may be the second year for this kiddie pool getting used, since the oldest grandchildren were around 1-3 years old, which would be about 15-16 years ago. The water is easy to maintain, because there isn’t too much of it.

The best aspect of this pool is the water’s temperature! It can’t get cold during the summer months, because it’s above the ground and it’s shallow! Cora loves to stand in the pool in the sun. Then, after she’s done, she runs around the yard excited. She’ll roll around over and over again, until she exhausts herself. This is good, so she settles down to rest in the shade where she can have an eye kept on her. She loves having the chipmunks around for entertainment too!
